The Client:
Seafood New Zealand Publish a monthly magazine that is distributed throughout the New Zealand Seafood Industry as well as to schools and retail outlets.
The Requirement:
The client was running a advertising schedule on an Access database but was finding
that maintain the information was cumbersome because of the way that it had been
constructed. They therefore wanted the system updated.
The Solution:
We redesigned the database and then put a web front end on it in Macromedia Dreamweaver using ASP. The system enabled them to track their clients, build up the advertising
schedule and generate reports to go to finance (for generating invoices) and to
production (for laying out the magazine).
The system was originaly designed as an intranet application running on the clients
network. It was then easily converted to an internet application as the client wanted
to be able to access it remotely.
